Families are typically very close here…relationally, in proximity and in dependency. Instead of moving out, it’s common to see a son build a new house on their father’s lot – or to just add a second, third, or fourth story to the existing home. Dinner is also a family affair, which is nice…the mom does all the work, and the men do most of the eating. When I try to help clean up it’s borderline offensive…I almost feel more guilty when I try and help. The other day I tried to help clean a pan in the kitchen…this was a no-no…my Albanian mom laughed and Habib told me to get out of her kitchen…I could get use to this!

Dinner with the fam…
Eating …always very communal…
…and always very hands-on!

Hey! Good news about your luggage! So you got dinner at 6:12, that's not bad for a Ramadan meal. Keven spent yesterday with a friend of his (9 am till 8 pm) and couldn't eat all day because they were observing Ramadan and he didn't want to eat in front of him. I think it's the longest he's ever gone without food.

Old friend,
Regardles how much people say that you need to have things planned out, that may not neccesary be the route to go.
When I came to this country the second time I only had money to live here for 2 months, and no plan on making more. But I twisted and twitched the rules so severely, that I've made it here now for almost two years. It was tight very often, but the right path often is, regardless of that God Pulled me through, because it was his will that I stay here, and so I was given small opportunities, often too small seeming, to be able to stay here.
Your documentary will end up the way God wants it to end up, because it is for him, nay? So you're getting many ideas, and that is fantastic, follow up, and God will guide you forward to the right ones, You'll know, just like I did, and thousands before us, where God wants to take us/them in whatever situation.
Faith and Courage,
MM
Sooo good to see where you live and that you're being taken care of. Every adventurous bone in my jacked-up-for-now body is wishin I could be out in the world like you right now...so cherish it!
Hey, at least I have S Africa to look forward to.
Proud of you...Patrick
Patrice told me about your blog. Thanks for the photos--they take me back. And I agree with Well Woman, 6:12 sounds thankfully early for a Ramadan meal!
Wow! Nice Pictures Isaac. It looks like you are having fun on this adventure. I want to go on an adventure. I have been reading about dinosaur discoveries deep in the Jungle of Congo Africa. With all the dinosaur dreams i am having I think i need to go. HEHE. Any strange animals in Kosovo? What do they think happened to the dinosaurs? Hahaha. I am just being a dork.
Glad you finally made it! Looking forward to reading more about your time there and seeing more pictures. Let just say the internet connection is extremely slow here, so haven't got any pictures posted to my blog yet, but hopefully soon. Take care of yourself, you are in my prayers.

I think you need to click on the site posted above. It will sort of make your hour, but not your day.
Auto parts sale reminded me that I sold the motorhome for cheap. I always was a great sales person. I was just happy to unload the beast.
You look like you are eating better than Hilliary and I. We are just waiting for her to discharge her kidney stone.
I love you . . . and you are in my prayers. Mommy
